Audi has announced plans to introduce an engine start-stop system on A3 models equipped with the S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission. Available on the A3 1.6 TDI and A3 1.4 TFSI, the start/stop system improves fuel efficiency and decreases CO2 emissions. The 1.6 TDI will be rated at 4.2L/100km (56.00 US mpg) and 109 grams of CO2 per kilometer (175.42 g/mile).
