Innovative Nissan car debut in China

 

Innovative electric cars would debut in China at the beginning of 2001, since the Chinese government had singed an agreement with Nissan Motor Co. and its French partner Renault one week ago.The Nissan company will be selling this original electric auto all around the world in 3 years. It is said that the first electric vehicle to appear on land of China would be on with a size that is slightly larger than mini car.

A hybrid will first launch in the United States and Japan in 2010, and then come to China several months later.

As the president of Nissan Motor Ltd. (China), Yasuaki Hashimoto said, Wuhan city (China) is the selection among 13 cities to promote this new electric vehicles. More talks will be carried out with more Chinese cities for the same proposal.

A program for a battery-charging network and a blueprint for mass marketing electrics are contained in the proposal, but the executives responsible for the proposal refused to reveal the figure of electric car provided in the program in China.
